What is Collaborative Classification?
Have you ever wondered how you are going to work on an online assignment with other people? Have you felt that burning sensation to comment on a video or picture? Have you ever wanted to communicate with people all over the world? The internet is the solution to all of these demands. People all over the world enjoy sharing their opinions and are determined to explore their interests through the internet. Interests and beliefs have been categorized and organized in such patterns through online methods and systematic processes. Collaborative classification is this systematic process where people all over the world are able to come together and work in unity to explore ideologies and common passions. Take a blog for example. Blogs are commonly used by individuals to discuss their opinions on a select topic with the world and express their beliefs with other people as well. On a blog, one person is able to address a controversial topic while others are able to comment and state their opinions, whether it may support or attack another's argument. Collaborative classification empowers individuals to come together and work as one through online means, thus digitizing the lives of people one person at a time.
