Collaborative classification is the method where a system is broken down into multiple steps and develops a framework where individuals are able to break down into groups and work together. These individuals are able to take a concept and break it down into smaller pieces, which are then described specifically and classified as a certain idea on the internet. Keywords or key phrases are then formed as a result from classifying an idea, enabling those who are curious to research the interest.
Online search engines promote collaborative classification by internet users developing websites based on select ideas and explaining what a select topic is. As people invest more time and increase online activity, their lives become more digitized due to spending a majority of their life in the virtual world. Collaborative classification enhances communication and encourages individuals to devote more time online. Without collaborative classification, society will not be able to move forward along with the internet.
